SF: THE WOMEN OF WINDHAM HILL WINTER SOLSTICE CONCERT
The Women of Windham Hill Winter Solstice Concert will be held o Thursday, December 15th at 8:00 pm at YOSHI'S (510 Embarcadero West, Jack London Square, Oakland, CA - 510-238-9200). For Veteran Label Mates Liz Story, Barbara Higbie & Lisa Lynne, this will mark their first Bay Area appearance together. The Windham Hill recording label is synonymous with the best of today's new age, jazz, and pop instrumentals. An annual holiday tradition brings some of the labels most celebrated artists to perform a Seasonal concert of solos, duets and full group performances. Three time Grammy nominee Liz Story, multi-instrumentalist, singer and Grammy nominee Barbara Higbie, and highly original Billboard charting Celtic Harpist Lisa Lynne promise an exquisite sonic experience. They will be joined onstage by multi-instrumentalists George Tortorelli and Aryeh Frankfurter. This is the latest concert in the series that Higbie is putting together as Yoshi's first-ever Artist in Residence. There is a $20 cover.
