NYC: SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED POSTS CLOSING NOTICE!
Following nineteen sold out shows, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, the acclaimed and award-winning cabaret series, will conclude with a twentieth and final installment on Monday, November 28th at 7:00 pm atTHE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Sondheim Unplugged is currently celebrating the second year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010. SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED features an array of Broadway and Cabaret's most dynamic performers, celebrating the work of Broadway's most beloved and prolific composer, accompanied by piano only. The series boasts an impressive, rotating cast of some of the theatre world and cabaret's most impressive talents, all of whom will perform their favorite Sondheim tunes. Earlier this year, Sondheim Unplugged received the 2011 Bistro Award for Outstanding Cabaret Series, and was nominated for the 2011 MAC Award. Oncluded in the cast on November 28th are an array of Broadway and cabaret alums, including Lisa Asher, Natalie Douglas, Eric Michael Gillett, Lorinda Lisitza, Karen Mack, Rob Maitner, Colleen McHugh, Christine Pedi, Molly Pope, Brian Charles Rooney, Sarah Rice, Ereni Sevasti & Jessica Vosk. Sondheim Unplugged is hosted by Phil Geoffrey Bond, Musical Direction is by Ray Fellman. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
