NE: CABARET IN LYNN WITH JAN PETERS
After five years in Pennsylvania, cabaret singer Jan Peters has returned to the Boston area and is performing her show "It's a (North) Shore Thing" on Friday, October 21st at ARTS AFTER HOURS AT LYNNARTS (25 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA - 781-598-5244). Peters, named Best Cabaret Act 2005 by The Improper Bostonian magazine, draws from an extensive repertoire of popular Broadway and standard songs, as well as material from promising new songwriters. She will be backed by the Tom LaMark Trio. She has performed at many Boston venues including Scullers Jazz Club, Club Cafe, and The Lyric Stage. She also performs throughout the country accompanied by ensembles ranging from intimate jazz groups to large swing orchestras. Tickets are $25.
