NYC: THE MARCY & ZINA SHOW RETURNS TO BIRDLAND TONIGHT
A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT


Jim Caruso presentS the return of The Marcy & Zina Show, featuring the dynamic theater songwriters, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, along with a cast of talented friends to sing their songs atBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, March 14th at 7:00 pm as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. Fresh from their successful run of SNOW WHITE ROSE RED (and FRED) at the Kennedy Center, DEAR EDWINA and their reading of SCREAMING LIKE A FOOL at Off-Broadway's D*R*2 Theater, Marcy and Zina's musical guests will include Ann Harada, Carey Anderson, Jason F. Williams, Jill Abramovitz, Scott Coulter, and Nathan Klau. Collaborators since 1993, lyricist Marcy Heisler and composer Zina Goldrich are responsible for some of the New York cabaret scene's most lovable character songs, including "Taylor, the Latte Boy," made famous by Kristin Chenoweth, and "Alto's Lament." The pair earned a 2009 Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for their work on Dear Edwina. They were also recipients of ASCAP's 2002 Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award and were nominated for the 2005 Lucille Lortel Award for their Off-Broadway musical Junie B. Jones. There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
