A TOAST TO EARL

THIS AFTERNOON (Sunday, March 28th) there will be "A Toast to Earl" - an informal gathering to remember Earl Wentz, for friends, family, colleagues, students and others at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A pianist will be provided if you wish to perform - please bring music/lead sheets in your key. If you plan to attend, please e-mail Bill Watkins at williamwatkins@earthlink.com so that he can let MAMA'S have a count for staffing purposes. Cash bar. Earl Wentz and his personal project, the Great American Composer series, , which he produced starting in 2000, mostly at DON'T TELL MAMA in NYC. brought to our attention some great songwriters/composers by creating original, multi-performer revues, and at the same time, he exposed us to hundreds of great vocalists. He was also a long-time supporter of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE. I plan to be there in the later part of the event, and I hope to see many of you there as well.
