'Jeudi - Winter Was Warm' is a new vintage holiday soundtrack of rare, swingin' & sentimental American gems from the 30's 40's & 50's, sung in sweet nostalgic tones reminiscent of the great chanteuses of the past. The songs evoke the many moods of winter from merriment to melancholy. As a vintage-loving chanteuse with a penchant for research, Jeudi delights in mining the forgotten musical gems. Most of these tunes are lost treasures from the 1930's to the 1950's. While half are Christmas songs, they're all about winter. This time of year, while openly expressing joys and good wishes, we may also privately reflect on disappointments and regrets. The greatest songwriters capture the range of human emotions and present them to us in a gorgeous melody, or a tender lyric. These songs match the moods of the season, from merriment to melancholy. Jeudi is pleased to share these masterfully written, musical jewels with you, which have been dressed in beautiful new arrangements, embracing a modern retro vibe. they should bring a fresh touch, warm your heart and maybe even put a little spring in your step, this winter season.
