NYC: 11 O'CLOCK NUMBERS AT 11 O'CLOCK AT FEINSTEIN'S

FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095), in association with producer Scott Siegel, continues its "11 O'Clock Numbers at 11 O'Clock!" revue on Thursday nights, starting September 15th at 11:00 pm. The show highlights the music that has galvanized Broadway audiences from the 1930s right through to the present and it stars Carole J. Bufford ("Broadway by the Year"), Scott Coulter ("The Stephen Schwartz Show") and Christina Bianco (Newsical the Musical). The show is directed by Scott Coulter, with John Fischer serving as Musical Director. There is a $15-$25 cover plus a 1-drink minimum.

NYC: PRE-BROADWAY CONCERT OF A CRUISE LINE AT DON'T TELL MAMA

A concert of new songs from the upcoming musical, A Cruise Line, composed by Rick Knight and directed by Spider Duncan Christopher, will be performed at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) in September. There are nine performances: Thursday & Friday, September 1st & 2nd; Tuesday, September 6th; Friday, September 9th; and Wednesday through Friday, September 13th through 15th. All shows are at 9:15 pm plus two special memorial shows will be presented on Sunday, September 11th and Monday, September 12th, both at 7:00 pm. A CRUISE LINE's concert will include 16 songs performed by an ethnically and culturally diverse ensemble cast of 11 which represents the diversity of the characters of the show and which includes Andi Bohs, Joe Dawson, Lisa Deane, Ken Gartman, Drew Hale, Ryan Hartman, Howah Hung, Dana Hunter, Michael Kours, Liz McKendry, Jody Mullen, Zal Owen, Andrew Pacho, Ross Pivec, Yolanda Robinson, Marshall Simon, and Cedric Yau. All of the stories swirl around each other as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches. It's a dramatic comedy that presents a message described as every bit as paradigm shifting as Hair and Rent. The show's tag line is "Once you connect the dots, you can color outside the lines." Knight and Christopher regard it as further Aquarian Age study of how humanity is evolving. Proceeds from the September 11th and 12th shows will go to selected foundations helping the victims and families of 9/11 First Responders. After the cabaret concert finishes with its final performance on Friday, September 16, Knight and Christopher will be working on a full production of the show in 2012. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Sally Kellerman, the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominated actress and singer who created the infamous role of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" O'Houlihan in Robert Altman's classic film, "M*A*SH," will appear as a vocalist in her show, SALLY KELLERMAN - "Back By Request," with Pianist/Music Director, Andy Langham, on Monday, September 12th at 8:00 pm atVITELLO'S (4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-754-8700). The actress has amassed an impressive Resume of hundreds of memorable feature film, television and theatre credits. She began her television career appearing on "Outer Limits." Other television appearances include roles on the Pilot Episode of "Star Trek" and in episodes of "Kraft Suspense Theatre" and "Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theatre." She has starred in "Back To School," opposite Rodney Dangerfield, "Big Blonde" and "Boynton Beach Club." The Elli Fordyce Quintet will again open Riverfest's Jazz and Blues Stage at theAMPHITHEATRE ON THE HUDSON (Main Street, Yonkers, NY) on Saturday, September 10th from noon until 1:00 pm. Elli will be joined by Neil Alexander on keyboards, Ratzo Harris on bass, Phil Stewart on drums, and featured on sax, Carl Bartlett, Jr. Originally from Manhattan, Elli Fordyce is a highly accomplished vocalist and actor. Daryl Sherman will be performing at BRYANT PARK (Upper Terrace, Sixth Ave at 42nd Street, NYC ) on Monday through Friday, September 5th through 9th from 12:30 to 2:20 pm. Sherman is internationally acclaimed for a stellar 14-year run at the Waldorf-Astoria where she played Cole Porter's Steinway. Last June, she headlined the annual Cole Porter Festival in his hometown of Peru, IN. Sherman has performed at The Algonquin's Oak Room, Feinstein's, Rose Hall with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Dizzy's Coca Cola and 59E59 Theaters where she was lauded for her band singer role in a centennial tribute to Artie Shaw. As a sparkling mainstay of Manhattan's nightlife, there's hardly jazz joint, supper club, Chinese restaurant or hotel that Daryl has missed. Her many recordings are in regular national rotation on Cable TV's Music Choice and Sirius/XM Radio. She was presented the 2010 MAC Award "Best Major Recording" for her Johnny Mercer Centennial CD - which was used in a Mercer documentary produced by Clint Eastwood. This is a FREE event.

Inspired by both the life and films of one of the 20th century's most alluring screen goddesses, the show draws heavily from the American songbook standards of the 30s and 40s and 50s. Lots of crowd favorites like Somewhere in Brazil and Sweet Spot are on the new disc, as well as Mark's renditions of such standards as But Not For Me and On Broadway. He will be joined by a very special guest, Phil Swann (his co writer on Play It Cool) who will be having a CD release party for his new album, STALE SCOTCH AND CHEAP CIGARS. Phil's CD is a master class in songwriting and late night saloon singing, featuring the cream of musicians and 10 Swann songs that sound like extra pages from the Great American Songbook. This night is also a celebration for their jazz film noir musical Play It Cool which opens in New York City on 42nd Street on September 14th. Both Mark and Phillip have recorded songs from Play It Cool on their new CDs - so a special evening should be had by all. They will be joined by the Eli Brueggemann quartet-and some surprise guests. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum..

The Tudor City Greens FREE outdoor concert series scheduled for today, Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 pm at TUDOR CITY GREENS OARK (enter at Tudor City Place between East 42nd and East 43rd Streets).CONCERT AT TUDOR GREENS - scheduled for today at 6:30 pm in NYC has been cancelled. Host/producer Raissa Katonah Bennet, writes: "this is the first time we've ever completely had to lose a concert in the season, but then again, this has been a historic weather year. I might have waited a bit to seen if it would clear up, but even if that were to happen, the fact is, I've just come from surveying the parks, and pigeons are using our playing area as a water park." The series' continues, weather permitting, on October 5th at 6:30 pm.

The evening will benefit Help Is On The Way Today, a non for profit that helps and assists children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
