After sold out runs in 2009 & 2010, Thank You For Being A Friend returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for its third limited-run engagement. Performances are Wednesdays February 5th & 12th at 7:00 pm. This unauthorized musical parody inspired by the beloved TV sitcom "The Golden Girls," features book by Nick Brennan, music by Jeff Thomson, and lyrics by Luke Jones and Cisco Cardenas. In the show four women over 60 (Blanchette, the varicose-veined vixen; Dorthea, the brainy ball-buster; Roz, the lovable airhead; and Sophie, the wisecracking spitfire) are spending their golden years together in a wicker-filled bungalow in Miami. But when gay pop superstar Ricky Martin moves next door, his loud outdoor sex parties keep the quartet of cheesecake-loving retirees awake. The solution pits the gays against the girls at the annual Shady Oaks Retirement Home Talent Show: if the women win, then no more sex parties; if the gays garner top prize, the sassy seniors must serve as the party's clean-up crew. Singing, dancing and hilarity ensues! This newly revised production will feature original cast members Chad Ryan, Luke Jones, and Nick Brennan with newcomer John De Los Santos. CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: THE TED & LO SHOW: "THIS MAY HURT A BIT"

CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: THE TED & LO SHOW: "THIS MAY HURT A BIT"

The Ted & Lo Show, starring Lorinda Lisitza and Ted Stafford, returns toDON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, February 5th at 7:00 pm. "This May Hurt a Bit" is the title of both this second episode of The Ted & Lo Show and a Lisitza/Stafford original song featured in the set. As Lisitza sings "I'm gonna break you down," the duo begins a guided tour of evil and the human psyche. The songs search the minds of serial killers and doomed pop royalty for impulses and fears common to us all. "Hold on," sings Lisitza. When you get down to the heart of the matter, love is still stronger than hate. Truth and beauty reside in the shared experience of music. Ted & Lo deliver a one-two punch that will make you laugh and cry at the same time. This may hurt a bit. Lisitza & Ted Stafford met in 2011 and have been singing together ever since. Their tasty arrangements of well-known covers, obscure new music, and original compositions prove that one guitar, one harmonica, and two voices can sound as big as an arena rock band or as immediate as the listener's own conscience. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
