Following a successful four-month run at San Martin on the East Side, Chris Barrett brings his music to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) for an open ended run on Mondays through Wednesdays starting Monday, January 21st. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge.

But television audiences know Pamela best not only for her recurring roles on Alice, but for her four season run on Sha-Na-Na. (Lighter Fare for a Winter Night)". Performances are on four Monday nights at 7:00 pm, January 14th, 21st and 28th and Friday, February 8th. Harnar recently was awarded the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award, as well as two MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) Awards and three Back Stage Bistro Awards. LIVE AT THE RRAZZ (1000 Van Ness Avenue, SF - 800-380-3095) presents the Bay Area debut of the celebrated entertainer Clint Holmes on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, January 22nd, 23rd & 24th at 8:00 pm; Friday & Saturday, January 25th & 26th at 7:00 pm; and Sunday, January 27th at 5:00 pm. His show "This Thing Called Love," earned rave reviews at the legendary Cafe Caryle in New York and features the music of Cole Porter and Paul Simon. Using the words and music of Porter and Simon, Holmes will explore, examine and compare the two songwriter's views on the universal subject of love. The evening includes such songs as Porter's "Get Out of Town" juxtaposed with Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover," and Simon's contemporary classic "Slip Sliding Away" alongside the Porter standard "I Concentrate on You," among others. Mr. Holmes will be accompanied by a band led by his Musical Director/Arranger Jeffrey Neiman. The evening will be directed by Larry Moss. There is a $35-$45 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

THE CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) hosts cabaret artist Karen Gedissman for a special performance of her show Karen Gedissman Sings! on Sunday, January 27th at 7:00 pm. Ms. Gedissman will be accompanied by Shelly Markham, the show's musical director and arranger, and Nate Light on bass. Ms. Gedissman returns to the cabaret scene in Los Angeles after having performed her critically acclaimed one-woman show Karen G. Passionately! as well as starring in such musicals as A Chorus Line (Maggie), Hair (Sheila), Three-Penny Opera (Polly), Evita (The Mistress), Violet (Violet) and Judy Garland in Babes, an original musical based on Garland's life. The performance will feature a wide array of musical theater favorites, popular songs, and some songs that might be new to you. The show, produced by Dan Jablons, with assistance from associate producer Adryan Russ, is directed by long-time award-winning producer/director Bruce Kimmel. SINGERS FORUM - JULIE WILSON - MR. RUBY RIMS TO BE HONORED

The MARCH IS CABARET MONTH kick-off gala will be on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC)! The dinner and show will feature speakers and performers from the world of cabaret! This event is a FUNDRAISER on behalf of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE to help us spread the word of cabaret and the MARCH IS CABARET MONTH programs and events around the world.

A special presentation will be made to THE SINGERS' FORUM for their long-time contribution to preparing performers in the art of live entertainment and their outstanding work to promote cabaret. Founded in 1978 by Andy Anselmo and John Albert Harris, Singers Forum was envisioned as a training center for the vocal arts. Combining training in the bel canto method with performance training in various singing styles, Singers Forum is unique in that it offers private voice lessons, classes and workshops, and a place where artists could develop performance skills in a wide variety of vocal and performing styles ranging from opera to cabaret, and musical theatre.

We will also be recognizing Mr. Ruby Rims, who is celebrating his 40th year performing and entertaining in clubs, piano bars and cabaret rooms. He will give us a preview of his 40th Anniversary Cabaret Show to be presented in October.

Miss Julie Wilson has accepted our invitation to attend our MARCH IS CABARET MONTH GALA this year - not as a performer this time Julie has been a star attraction at many of our CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE parties, galas, and events over the years and we want to recognize her long time support - and her untiring support of cabaret performers everywhere.

3:00 PM IN NJ: "MUSIC AT THE MANSION" CONTINUES IN JANUARY

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment in the monthly concert series, "Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, January 27th, at 3:00 pm at THE OAKESIDE BLOOMFIELD CULTURAL CENTER (240 Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ - 973-429-0960). Performers to include NJ resident singer/actress Sahirah Johnson, actor/cabaret singer Adam Shapiro and Award winning pianist Barry Levitt. There will also be a new segment called the "Young Musician Moment" and will showcase a young performer. The first ever "Young Musician Moment" will feature 9 year old Ava Rose Dressendofer. "Music at the Mansion" is a series showcasing talented performers from NYC and NJ. The series is hosted by NYC Cabaret singer and Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers-Adler and features Deborah Martin on piano. Seating begins at 2:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or by calling 973-429-0960 for reservations.

A new cabaret revue, "Hopelessly In Love: The Lyrics Of Tom Toce" returns for 2 more performances to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday January 27th and Saturday February 9th, both at 4:00 pm. The show features music by Tom and ten remarkably talented composers: Douglas Cohen, Rick Cummins, Zina Goldrich, David K. Israel, Jeff Lazarus, Shelly Markham, Peter Millrose, Kim Oler, Lew Spence and Alan Wolpert. The show features three of cabaret's brightest new stars: Carole J. Bufford, Jack Donahue and Jennifer Sheehan, and is directed by Peter Napolitano with musical direction by Matthew Martin Ward. For the opening performance, October 10th, there will be a special guest appearance by Maude Maggart. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

"Cookie's Corner" premieres at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, January 27th at 3:00 pm. The show is an ongoing party celebrating life and new talent hosted by Cookie Stark. Special guest star for the show is 2012 Julie Wilson Award Winner, Shana Farr. Shana has just released her debut CD "Out Of The Shadows." Others appearing in the show are actress/singer/songwriter Jodi Beck; singer/actor Chris J. Handley; vocalist Eva Kantor; and Broadway veteren Lynn Kearney. The show is directed by Eric Michael Gillett, with musical direction by Jeff Cubeta. At 80 years young, Cookie has just entered the business called "show." She is today's hostess with the mostest! Some people spend a lifetime singing ... others wait a lifetime to sing. The latter applies to Cookie, and now she's going at it full throttle! This special variety series will appear every other month with the next performance scheduled for Sunday, March 24 at 3pm. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Bob Diamond returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) to reprise his new show, "This Funny World", for one more performance on Sunday, January 27th at 5:00 pm. Gretchen Reinhagen directs. At the piano will be Musical Director, David Jarvis. "This Funny World" explores Bob's sojourn with his love of the movies, music, the Met and more, featuring the Great American songs of this ever spinning, funny, funny world. The show includes a significant amount of new material for Diamond, including the wonderful title song, written by the great team of Rogers and Hart. Bob Diamond spent many years as a TV Director, directing "The Joe Franklin Show", and many others. Additionally, he served as Director of Supernumeraries and Children at the Metropolitan Opera. As an actor, he appeared on "All My Children" as well as various off-Broadway shows. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $10 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
